Standard Kitchen Door Sizes at The Kitchen Yard

When planning your new kitchen or replacement doors it is useful to know what the standard sizes of kitchen doors available are. These are the measurements used across the whole kitchen business community. It is, however, possible to get non-standard sizes in certain styles of kitchen door if required.

Door sizes are always a few millimetres less than the size of your kitchen unit to allow for opening of doors, so for example, on a 720mm high unit your door will usually measure 715mm high.

Lets start with Drawer Fronts.

There are small drawer fronts for ordinary drawers. These come in 2 standard heights: 140mm used on 5 drawer units and on drawerline units and 175mm, used on 4 drawer units.

The standard widths for these are: 297, 397, 447, 497, 597mm.

The 140 high also comes in wider sizes 797,897 and 997mm.

There are also deep drawer fronts, used for Pan Drawer Units, which come in standard heights of 233mm and 355mm. The standard widths for these are 497, 597, 797, 897 ,997mm.

There is also a smaller 115mm high panel which is used under the oven in base oven units, and is 597mm wide.

And so on to Doors.

The smallest door height is 450mm which is used under a Belfast Sink in our Belfast Sink Units. The standard width for this is 597mm.

Next is the 495mm door which comes in 395 and 595mm widths. The 595mm is used as the top door on our Appliance housing units.

Drawerline Base units need a smaller door under the drawer and this is the 570mm high door. It is also used on smaller 575mm high wall units. The standard widths for these are 297, 397, 447, 497 and 597mm.

There is a 645 x 597mm high door which could be used on an Appliance Housing Unit between Appliances.

The main door height used on 720mm high base units is 715mm high. This is also used for medium height wall units. The main standard door widths for these are 297, 347, 397, 447, 497, 547, 597mm. Glazed doors are usually available on the 397, 497 and 597mm widths.

There are also smaller widths other widths available which have a specific purpose. These can be used in L-Shaped Corner Units. These come in 273 and 315mm widths depending on whether for a wall or base corner base unit. See The Kitchen Yard Website for specific instructions for each Kitchen Style.

There is also a 715 x 147mm long door for small narrow units.

A quadrant curved door is available in standard size 715 x 320mm.

Tall wall units require an 895mm high door. This is available in 297, 397, 447, 497 and 597mm widths. they can also be used on our 2-drawer dresser units. Two of the 597mm width are also used in Appliance housings for a 50/50 fridge freezer. There is usually a glazed version 497mm wide.

There is a 980 x 597mm wide door which can be used on an appliance housing.

A 1060 x 497mm glazed door is available for a 1-drawer dresser unit.

Finally we have 1245mm high doors. These come in 297, 397, 497 and 597mm widths. We use this on our larder units, for a Boiler housing unit and also along with a 715 door for a 70/30 fridge freezer Appliance Housing Unit at 597mm wide.
