Kitchen Trend No.4 - Blue Kitchens - presented by The Kitchen Yard

We've already discussed in Kitchen Trend No.1 the Grey Kitchen, and that's been around for quite a while now. Brand New on the horizon is the Blue Kitchen, both light blue and darker blue. My particular favourite is dark Parisian Blue from our Kitchen Stori Range of colours.

Phoenix Anthracite White, Metallic Anthracite and Blue

An artist’s palette and an architect’s eye create the showpiece that is Phoenix.  An amalgamation of Anthracite, Blue and White take your kitchen to a new level. This kitchen is proof that minimalist can still be interesting. A Modern Kitchen from our ETHOS Range of Kitchens.

Windsor Shaker Ivory and Powder Blue

Combining comtemporary styling with Windsor’s innivative construction and PVC surface. The visible woodgrain effect adds a look and feel of authenticity.  A Contemporary Kitchen from our Kitchen Stori Range.

Jefferson Ivory, Powder Blue and Dust Grey

Fine and Ornate detailing make Jefferson the ultimate kitchen from our Kitchen Stori range.  Frames are crafted from solid ash with veneered centre panel and accessories include box pilasters, canopy and overmantle.  Jefferson’s stylish features are given added finesse by inclusion of a painted finish.  Able to be mixed and matched with total freedom, create your dream kitchen that in unique to you.

Clonmel in Stone and Parisian Blue

Clonmel Painted is a chunky shaker door consisting of an overveneered hardwood frame and oak veneered centre panel. There will be a variation in grain structure from door to door, with light and dark areas merging to enhance its realistic appearance. From our Kitchen Stori Range.

Jefferson in Shell and Marine

Jefferson Painted features a raised, solid ash frame with a veneered ash centre panel. Brushed finish gives a greater depth of grain.

Wakefield in Mussel and Parisian Blue

Wakefield Painted features a solid ash frame with internal moulding and a veneered ash centre panel. Brushed finish gives a greater depth of grain.

You can see from the above images that our Blue theme can be used to complement the previous Grey theme, indeed if you want a quick update to your Grey kitchen, why not simply replace some of the doors with a toning Blue, particularly on a feature unit and at the same time meet 3 of our 4 current trends, Grey, Two-colour and Blue, and if your doors are matte you could meet all 4 of our trends.

Kitchen Trend No. 3 - Mixing It Up in the Kitchen - produced by The Kitchen Yard

Why have just one colour of door in your kitchen when you can have 2 or even 3? Add a splash of interest to your new kitchen by having more than one colour of doors. This is a definite trend of the moment. Here are some ideas to inspire you:

Phoenix Anthracite White, Metallic Anthracite and Blue

First of all my personal favourite -

An artist’s palette and an architect’s eye create the showpiece that is Phoenix.  An amalgamation of Anthracite, Blue and White take your kitchen to a new level. This kitchen is proof that minimalist can still be interesting.

Duleek Gloss Tiepolo and Gloss Aubergine

Shapely, sophisticated and ultimately chic, Duleek is pictured with Gloss Tiepolo floor cabinets.  Making a smart contrast to the wood tones, the Gloss Aubergine cabinets are the choice of colour for the cured lift-up cabinets.  And variety provides the spice for this kitchen with glass-fronted and open shelved storage, plus an inventive island unit.

Duleek Gloss Mussel and Lava

Opposites attract with the contrasting dynamics of black and white for the Duleek kitchen.  Bold Lava gives distinction to the subtle neutral tones of Mussel.  While the vivid pink accent colours show how you can add your own panache to the proceedings.  Adaptable for modern living, the curved island and versatile desk/eating space allow you to make this the ultimate multi-function space.

Millburn Natural Oak Lacquered, Anthracite Stain and White Painted

The Millburn uses clean lines and seamless edges, coupled with the ‘J’ handle, to give your kitchen that uncluttered look.  Illustrated in timeless Natural Oak, anthracite stain and white, mixing colour options in a kitchen gives depth, dimension and an oppulent look.

Argon Gloss White and Gloss Lime

A Kitchen for today and all your tomorrows, Argon brings together the genuine elements of pragmatism with quintessential design.  Angular functional cabinets in gloss white are combined with the stunning arched island in gloss lime green, making this kitchen the epi-centre of style and functional flair.

Cologne Dakar and Amfissa

Adding a new perspective on the old French farmhouse look, Cologne is a tour de force in kitchen design. With details a plenty, notice the understated cornice work, the glazed cabinets and the gently moulded curves of the island unit.

Madison Lava and Light Grey

Effortlessly elegant and undeniably gorgeous, the Madison kitchen makes a sophisticated statement with its simple detailing and pure sense of style. The distinct woodgrain, visible through the painted layer, adds to the feeling of authenticity of this timeless classic.

Gone is the Gloss Shiny Minimalist Kitchen to be replaced with a similarly sleek and minimalist Matte finish. Here is a selection of the newly released Matte Kitchen Styles.

Strada Matte White & Graphite

A resounding favourite throughout Europe and the UK, the matte kitchen offers a silky, durable and blemish free finish. Coupled with Strada's cutting-edge design, you have a kitchen that meets your practical needs as well as your aesthetic demands.

Strada Matte Stone

The use of quadrant mouldings and curved doors create a stunning design feature on this contemporary kitchen.

Strada Matte is a slab door with integrated J-Pull handle and an overpainted 22mm MDF core with a 15% sheen finish.

Zola Matte Dust Grey

Its strikingly simple design coupled with its super smooth finish makes Zola Matte the perfect choice for those wishing to achieve that high end designer look.  Create a style statement from a choice of four chic shades.

The Zola Matte Dust is a Modern Kitchen from the Kitchen Stori Range with Slab Style Doors in Polyurethane.  The Colours available are White, Porcelain, Light Grey & Dust Grey.

Kitchen Trend Number 1 - Grey Kitchens - presented by The Kitchen Yard

Like everything in fashion and in your home there are trends, and when it comes to choosing your kitchen nothing is more important than getting it right. We at The Kitchen Yard want to take you through the top 4 trends of the moment that we've seen being installed.

The Number One Trend is the Grey Kitchen. From Light Grey to Anthracite this trend will not date quickly and can be updated anytime with different coloured accessories as your mood desires.

Danbury Dust Grey & Light Grey

A modern day twist on this traditional style shows the Danbury’s enduring characteristics which blend equally well with traditional or contemporary accessories and furnishings. The red highlights of the Aga and stools perfectly complement the tones of light and dust grey. My favourite kitchen from our ETHOS range.

Duleek Matt Kashmir & Stone Grey

This modern Duleek kitchen from our ETHOS range exemplifies elegant curves, sleek lines  and perfect symmetry.  These combine in an exquisitely choreographed display of local craftsmanship at its very best. With beautiful glazed wall vision display cabinets and a multilevel rectangular and circular combination island, the Duleek’s versatility gives every kitchen its own unique look.

Gallo Gloss White and Anthracite

A Kitchen for today and all our tomorrows, Gallo brings together the genuine elements of pragmatism with quintessential design.  Angular functional cabinets in Gloss White are combined with the stunning arched island in Gloss Anthracite; making this kitchen the epi-centre of style and functional flair. Available from our ETHOS range.

Phoenix Anthracite White, Metallic Anthracite and Blue

An artist’s palette and an architect’s eye create the showpiece that is Phoenix.  An amalgamation of Anthracite, Blue and White take your kitchen to a new level. This kitchen, from our ETHOS range, is proof that minimalist can still be interesting and mixing colours is another  trend we will be sharing in the very near future.

Strada Matte Light Grey

A resounding favourite from our Kitchen Stori range, this matte kitchen offers a silky, durable and blemish free finish.  Coupled with Strada’s cutting-edge design, you have a kitchen that meets your practical needs as well as your aesthetic demands.

Zola Gloss White and Light Grey

A door that is visually stunning as well as virtually indestructible, Zola Gloss, from the Kitchen Stori range, provides a mirror-like finish that will complement any space it occupies. Providing the perfect blank canvas to which you can inject your own personality and style. Presented here with wood and copper accents and accessories to give a natural feel.

Zola Matte Dust Grey

Its strikingly simple design coupled with its super smooth finish makes Zola Matte, from our Kitchen Stori Range, the perfect choice for those wishing to achieve that high end designer look.  Create a style statement from a choice of four chic shades. Again wooden worktop, floor and accents show this kitchen off to full advantage.

Albany Light Grey Painted

This Albany door style, from our ETHOS range, really catches the eye with a broad frame and deep sunken panels.  The minimal square edges and subtle joint detail reflect the simplicity of the Shaker styling.  Made from Solid Ash with an Ash veneered centre panel the grain comes through strongly.  Shown here in Light Grey it is also available in another 10 pastel shades.

Hartford Graphite

With a structure that speaks of grandeur and poise, Hartford, from our ETHOS range, is the committed choice for the adaptable environment. A combination of versatile low and high level cabinets and island space are complemented by a choice of finish and very on-trend yellow accessories.

Florence in Dust Grey and Porcelain

Grey doesn't just have to be modern as shown here in this Florence Kitchen from our Kitchen Stori range. The internal bead that adorns the centre panel of the Florence door lends itself perfectly to a traditional setting, with overmantel, beaded paneling adding further appeal.

Georgia Light Grey and Dust Grey

The Georgia, from our Kitchen Stori range, with its flawless, smooth painted finish and modern shaker-style construction can be combined with an array of accessories to create the ultimate kitchen space. Add your own personal touch by including some stainless steel and white accessories.

Kensington Kitchen in Mussel and Lava

Offering a slight twist on the contemporary shaker, Kensington features a sloped internal profile on the door.  its innovative design, combined with the PVC exterior and woodgrain finish, allows you to accomplish a stunning kitchen at an affordable price from our Kitchen Stori range.

As you can see, Grey doesn't have to be boring and with accents of pale blue, red, wood, copper, stainless steel or yellow you can update your look at any time.
